Huntington’s Disease is a rare inherited genetic disorder that affects fewer than 200,000 people in the United States each year. There is currently no cure or treatment. After losing her mother and sister to the disease, Lynn Kotrba and her husband Jason started Harvest Hope Farm, a nonprofit dedicated to finding a treatment for the disease, in 2017. For the past two years, the couple have raised sheep which carry a specific gene with the potential to reverse the effects of Huntington’s disease in humans.
