FORBES AFRICA Tops 2017 Q2 ABCs Business and News Category

Johannesburg, October 25th 2017: According to Marklives.com, an independent and investigative website focusing on Africa’s changing media, marketing, and advertising landscape, FORBES AFRICA has, for the sixth consecutive quarter, retained its first place position in the ‘Business and News’ category in terms of total circulation for the Audited Bureau of Circulations of South Africa’s Q2-2017 period, with an average circulation of 19 246.

2017 has been an eventful year for the FORBES AFRICA team with a number of local and international awards being claimed by the publication, along with the successful launch of ForbesAfrica.com.

Commenting on the publication’s number one position, Chris Bishop, Editor for FORBES AFRICA noted: “The growth in circulation in FORBES AFRICA is a tribute to the robust and independent business journalism we have executed over the last six years. I think we have generated fresh interest in business in Africa and should be proud of this.”

At the same time, FORBES AFRICA journalist, Jay Caboz has won the photography award at the SAB Environmental Media Awards for 2017. Now in its 29th year, the awards were started to recognize members of the media who have excelled in reporting on environmental matters.
