The same-day viewership for the second episode of House Of The Dragon increased 2% compared to last week’s record-breaking premiere, HBO said Monday, as the Game Of Thrones spin-off becomes a runaway success for the network.

KEY FACTS

Sunday’s episode garnered 10.2 million views, according to Nielsen and first-party data, compared to the 9.986 million that HBO said watched the series premiere last week.

The premiere has now been seen by nearly 25 million viewers in one week.

House Of The Dragon is a spin-off of Game Of Thrones focusing on the House Targaryen. Its first episode had the largest audience of a new original series in HBO history. As of Friday, viewership of the episode had doubled to 20 million viewers. The series has already been renewed for a second season.
